On a beautiful Wednesday evening, North Bromsgrove High School was buzzing with excitement as we rolled into Week 5 of our social netball season. The school’s courts were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition. Players of all skill levels, from novices to seasoned pros, gathered for another fantastic night of netball.
In the first match of the evening, the Bromsgrove Snatchers and the Sweaty Bettys proved that netball is indeed a game of teamwork and sportsmanship. The Bettys completed the game with a score of 30 to 6. Everyone put their heart into the game, making it a truly enjoyable event.
Next up, Not Fast But Furious faced Game Of Throws. The final whistle saw Not Fast But Furious finishing the game with a score of 10-6, with both teams exemplifying the spirit of friendly competition.
Hoops A Daisies and the Goal Diggers played an energetic match with players scurrying across the court, executing strategic moves. Goal Diggers came out on top with a score of 12-6, but everyone left the court with smiles on their faces, having enjoyed a brilliant game.
The match between A Little Rusty and Net Chixs was a game to remember. The Chixs managed to edge past with a score of 19-17, in a match filled with positive energy and commitment from both teams.
A special mention must be made of the Most Valued Player of the week - Lisa Pritchard from Bromsgrove Snatchers. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her movement around the court was admired by both teammates and opponents. Lisa’s contribution to the game was widely appreciated, reflecting the true spirit of our social netball evenings.
As we look ahead to Week 6, we anticipate another fantastic evening of friendly social netball. We can't wait for more opportunities to keep active, meet new people, and continue developing our netball skills in a supportive environment.
