Play in the Moulton Monday Netball League
Week nine of the Moulton Monday Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of matches, with teams in the League continuing to show great teamwork and commitment on court.
Rebound Rebels took on Hot Shots in a game where Hot Shots found their rhythm early on, securing a 16-4 win. Despite a positive start from the Rebels, Hot Shots maintained steady pressure in both attack and defence to see the game through.
On the neighbouring court, Queen Bees delivered a confident performance against Goal Diggers, earning a 19-6 victory. Their organised approach and consistent shooting helped them build a comfortable lead, while Goal Diggers continued to work hard throughout the match.
The final fixture of the evening saw Passalona face Pass N Pivot in a competitive contest. Both sides showed good movement and determination, with Pass N Pivot eventually taking a 15-9 win after a closely contested game.
This week’s most valued player award goes to Christy Houghton of Passalona. Her effort, composure and positive influence on the court stood out, and she played an important role for her team.
In terms of scoring, Queen Bees led the way in the League this week with 19 goals, highlighting their strong attacking performance. With several weeks still to play, there is plenty of opportunity for teams to build momentum and continue improving.
The Moulton Monday Netball League remains a welcoming and competitive environment for all involved, and we look forward to seeing how the rest of the season unfolds.
