The opening week of the Moulton Monday netball league provided a strong and positive start to the new season, with several high-scoring matches and plenty of encouraging performances. As teams in the League took to the court, the evening was filled with impressive teamwork, smart play, and great energy.

Hot Shots began their campaign with a well-earned 14–10 win over Queen Bees. It was a competitive match from the first centre pass, but Hot Shots managed to maintain their composure in key moments to secure the result.

Pass N Pivot also enjoyed a successful start, recording a 21–11 victory against Goal Diggers. Goal Diggers showed determination throughout, but Pass N Pivot’s consistency and teamwork allowed them to gradually build a comfortable lead.

Passalona delivered another confident performance, overcoming Rebound Rebels 19–11. They moved the ball effectively and made good use of their opportunities, helping them stay in control across the match.

A special mention goes to Helen Boiko of Goal Diggers, who was named Player of the Week. Despite the result, her effort, skill, and commitment stood out on the court and made a real impact for her team.

With Week 1 complete, the season is already shaping up to be an enjoyable and competitive one. The League has made a promising start, and teams will be looking forward to building on their performances in the weeks ahead.
