In the heart of the Merthyr Tydfil Thursday night netball league, week 5 of the Premier League delivered another evening of competitive and entertaining 7-a-side action. All teams showed great effort and determination, making for a closely contested round of fixtures.

The Ballerz took on A Little Rusty in a well-fought match, with A Little Rusty securing a 12–8 win. Both sides created strong passages of play, but A Little Rusty were able to edge ahead and maintain their lead.

Purple Reign faced Hoops I Did It Again in one of the most tightly contested games of the evening. The match ended in a 12–12 draw, with both teams matching each other throughout and demonstrating excellent teamwork and resilience.

Cherry Bombs and Net 6 & Chill also delivered an exciting game, with Cherry Bombs coming away with a 15–7 victory. Net 6 & Chill continued to work hard throughout, while Cherry Bombs made the most of their opportunities to secure the result.

This week’s Player of the Week was Kayleigh Williams from Net 6 & Chill, recognised for her strong individual performance and contribution on court.

Week 5 showcased the competitive spirit of the league, with every team contributing to an enjoyable and hard-fought evening of netball. As the season continues, teams will be looking to build on their performances in the weeks ahead.
