Last Thursday marked a delightful Week 8 of the social netball season at the Meon Vale Leisure Centre. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, players from all experience levels came out to enjoy a brilliant night of friendly competition and camaraderie.

The first match of the evening featured The Chillies and The Shooters from our beloved Division 1. The game ended with The Shooters finishing with a score of 20-9. The evening was filled with great teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship from both sides, resulting in a game played in high spirits and positive energy.

Next up, the dynamic Netchix faced off against the spirited Vale Queens. A game full of dedication and enthusiasm ended with the Netchix with an impressive tally of 21-8. Despite the score, it was clear that the real victory was in the smiles and laughter shared throughout the match.

The final match for the night saw the Meon Warriors take on D Linquents in a game that exemplified the essence of social netball - friendly rivalry, excellent teamwork, and unyielding commitment. The Warriors displayed a brilliant performance, closing the game with a score of 23-14.

A special mention goes out to our Most Valued Player of the evening. Their infectious enthusiasm, incredible movement around the court, and positive contribution did not go unnoticed and was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

As we look ahead to Week 9, we can’t wait for the next evening of friendly social netball. There are only two weeks of matches left. So, if you've been thinking of joining, now is the perfect time!
