Thursday ushered in Week 6 of our enjoyable social netball evenings at the Meon Vale Leisure Centre. Players of various skill levels were welcomed into a friendly and sportsmanlike atmosphere, which saw everyone from beginners to seasoned players enjoying a fantastic night of netball camaraderie.
The first match of the evening was an exhilarating game between Netchix and D Linquents. With a final score of 10-8 in favour of Netchix, both teams showcased true teamwork and commitment. Their positive energy was infectious, making it an enjoyable game that was played in great spirit.
Following suit, The Chillies and Meon Warriors game showed just how much fun netball can be, regardless of the score, which saw The Chillies finishing the game with a score of 11-5. Both teams exhibited sportsmanship with their supportive cheers and constructive feedback, contributing to an overall positive and energetic atmosphere.
The Shooters and Vale Queens played the final match of the evening. Despite the score of 17-5 in favour of The Shooters, the commitment and camaraderie exhibited by the Vale Queens did not wane. It was a captivating game filled with teamwork and enjoyable interactions.
A special mention must be made for our Most Valued Player of the week, Anna Cutting from Meon Warriors. Anna's boundless enthusiasm and constant movement around the court did not go unnoticed. Her positive contribution was greatly appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look ahead to Week 7, we anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. These nights are not just about keeping active, but also about meeting new people and developing our netball skills in a supportive environment. So, let’s keep the Back to Netball spirit going strong, as we wait to see what the next week brings!
