Stratford Upon Avon Thursday Netball Update 2nd April

In Week 12 of the Stratford Upon Avon Thursday Netball, teams continued their campaigns with a series of competitive and well-contested matches. With just two weeks remaining in the season, sides are focused on maintaining consistency and finishing strongly.

One of the closest matches of the evening saw Netchix edge past The Shooters by a single goal with a final score of 17-16. It was a tightly contested game, reflecting the strong level of competition.

Meon Warriors also secured a win, overcoming Vale Queens 19–14 in an energetic and closely played game. The Warriors combined effective passing with solid defensive play, while the Queens remained competitive and worked hard across all quarters.

The Meon Mermaids recorded a 13–8 win over the D Linquents in a steady performance. Both teams showed good effort throughout, with the Mermaids’ defence and movement helping them maintain a lead.

This week’s most valued player was Melissa Shullani of The Shooters, who delivered an impressive individual performance. Her movement and shooting accuracy stood out, making a key contribution despite the narrow result.

With only two weeks left to play, teams will be looking to build on their performances as the season approaches its conclusion. The night continues to provide an enjoyable and competitive environment each week.
