The Stratford Upon Avon Thursday Netball wrapped up its season in fantastic style, with an exciting final week that brought plenty of memorable moments for players and supporters alike. The night delivered a great evening of competitive and closely fought matches.
Vale Queens and D Linquents played out a brilliant contest, with Vale Queens just edging it 16–14 in a game that could have gone either way. The Shooters also finished strongly, securing a 25–6 win over Meon Mermaids, while Meon Warriors put in a solid performance to overcome The Chillies 19–14 in another lively matchup.
One of the standout performances of the night came from Melissa Shullani of The Shooters, who was named Most Valuable Player of the week. Her skill, composure, and all-round contribution made a real difference and were a great example of the quality on show throughout the league.
At the end of a competitive and enjoyable season, Team Netchix were crowned champions. Their consistent performances, teamwork, and positive approach saw them finish top with an impressive record, making them very worthy winners.
As the season comes to a close, it’s a great opportunity to recognise the effort and enthusiasm shown by all teams. The night has been full of competitive spirit, great sportsmanship, and plenty of exciting netball. With such a strong finish, there’s lots to look forward to when the next season gets underway.
