Stratford Upon Avon Thursday Netball League - Week 10

What a delightful evening it was at Meon Vale Leisure Centre, as we kicked off Week 10 of our social netball season. In a cheerful atmosphere buzzing with camaraderie, seasoned players and newcomers alike engaged in an enthralling night of netball. The evening was marked by a distinct spirit of inclusivity, teamwork, and pure love for the game.

Our first match, between the D Linquents and The Chillies, was truly a testament to the power of unity and perseverance. With a final score of 21-15 in favour of D Linquents, both teams showcased their commitment and sportsmanship, while enjoying every moment on the court.

In the second face-off, The Shooters and Netchix demonstrated that netball is, indeed, a game of high energy and positive vibes. The Netchix managed to secure a lead with a score of 15-12, but the game was much more than the final numbers. The heartening display of teamwork and the jovial spirit in which the game was played were the real winners.

The friendly clash between Vale Queens and Meon Warriors was a sight to behold. Meon Warriors marginally took the upper hand with a result of 12-10, but every player left the court with a smile, having thoroughly enjoyed the sporting spirit and camaraderie of the game.

A special shout-out to our Most Valued Player from the Netchix team, whose infectious enthusiasm and expert maneuvering around the court added a spark to the evening. Their positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, exemplifying the true essence of social netball.

As we look forward to Week 11 and another evening of friendly social netball, we are excited to keep the ball bouncing, meet new people, and further our netball skills in this supportive and enthusiastic environment.

This being the final week of the season, we express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has taken part and made this season memorable. A warm shout-out to the team from Netchix, who have led the way in Division 1 group this season; this recognition is less about competition and more about celebrating our collective passion for the game.
