Play in the Lutterworth Monday Social Netball League
Week 9 of the Lutterworth Monday Social Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of netball, with lots of great moments, teamwork, and positive play across the courts. It was lovely to see everyone getting involved and making the most of the social atmosphere the league is all about.
Pivot Panthers and Bluebirds shared a lively game, with Bluebirds finishing ahead at 18–11. Both teams showed great effort and commitment throughout, making for an engaging match to start the evening.
Netchicks and Diamonds played out a really evenly matched and entertaining game, ending in a 15–15 draw. A special mention goes to Hannah Simpson from Netchicks, who was named Player of the Week.
Off The Net took on Ashby Lane Adventures in a challenging fixture, with Ashby Lane Adventures finishing the game 18–1. Despite the scoreline, it was good to see players continuing to support one another and keep the game flowing in a positive spirit.
Troubleshooters and Rose Rockets also enjoyed a fast-paced game, with Troubleshooters finishing 25–5. The match showcased good communication and teamwork, and it was great to see both sides continuing to play with enthusiasm.
As we move further into the season, we’d like to take a moment to remind everyone that Lutterworth Monday is a friendly, social league. We expect all players to show respect towards umpires and fellow players at all times. Any negative behaviour, including eye-rolling, comments, or poor attitude towards umpires, will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the league.
We’d also like to remind teams that:
When requesting subs, players must play out of their strongest position
Any subs brought in from outside the league must not be affiliated with any competitive netball leagues
Thank you to everyone for helping keep the league welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable for all. We’re looking forward to another great week of social netball next Monday
