The whistle has blown on the first week of the Loughborough Sunday Night Netball, and it was a thrilling start to the season, with high-flying teams and nail-biting finishes.
Trix & Shots fired off with a victory over Rebound Girls with a score of 21-1. Their attacking prowess and defence set the tone for the season, positioning them as a team to watch.
The clash between Lough Struck and Netflicks & Skills turned out to be a tense game, with both teams finishing in a 4-4 draw. The players left it all on the court, promising an exciting season ahead.
Tena Ladies and Luffly Ladies also went head to head, with the latter emerging victorious in a 9-5 win.
Amidst the competition, one player stood out - Clare Baker from Rebound Girls. Despite her team's loss, Baker's exceptional performance on the court earned her the title of Most Valued Player of the week. Her exceptional skill, agility, and tenacity were remarkable, making her a true asset for the Rebound Girls.
As the season has just started, the players are still finding their footing and setting their strategies, but if this week's games are any indication, we're in for a thrilling ride in the Loughborough Sunday Night Netball.
