Solihull Sunday Netball Update 26th April

It was another lively and entertaining week in the Solihull Sunday Netball, with teams taking to the court full of energy and determination. Spectators were treated to a great evening of netball, packed with exciting moments, close contests and standout performances.

The Solihull Sirens delivered a confident performance to secure an 11–1 win over The Evergreens, setting a positive tone for their campaign. Sparks also impressed, putting on a strong display as they claimed a 25–9 victory against Roses.

Pocket Rockets and Spice Goals played out a closely fought match, with Pocket Rockets just edging ahead 7–5 in a great example of competitive spirit from both sides. The Y Nots continued their good form with a 31–12 win over Pink Panthers, while Tidbury Tornados came out on top in an engaging contest against No Direction, winning 13–8 in one of the evening’s most exciting games.

A special mention goes to Stacey Whelan of No Direction, whose excellent individual performance earned her this week’s Most Valuable Player award. Her effort, skill and game awareness stood out and made a real impact on the court.

Week 10 brought plenty of enjoyable netball and keeps the season building nicely towards an exciting finish. With teams continuing to grow in confidence and cohesion each week, there’s lots to look forward to in the upcoming fixtures.
