In an exciting week two of Solihull Sunday Netball, spectators enjoyed a series of competitive and entertaining matches.
Solihull Sirens delivered a confident performance against Give Us A Shot, securing a 23–2 victory. The Sirens demonstrated excellent teamwork and accurate shooting throughout. Despite the result, Give Us A Shot showed great determination and continued to work hard until the final whistle.
In another engaging fixture, Sparks impressed with a strong all-round display, overcoming Roses 25–7. Their solid defence and fluid attacking play proved effective, marking them as a team to keep an eye on this season.
Pocket Rockets enjoyed a positive start with a 24–0 win over Spice Goals, who battled throughout but were unable to find the net on this occasion. Pink Panthers showed plenty of spirit in their match against The Y Nots, who ultimately secured a 21–8 victory.
Tidbury Tornados also produced a composed performance, earning a 13–2 win over No Direction and reinforcing their reputation as a well-organised and capable side.
A special mention goes to Lisa Sandford of The Y Nots, whose outstanding display stood out this week. Demonstrating excellent skill in both defence and attack, she was deservedly named Most Valued Player. Her contribution played a key role in her team’s success.
With the competition continuing to build momentum, there is plenty more exciting netball to look forward to in the coming weeks.
