In an action-packed Week 12 of the division of the Derby Sunday Netball league, teams battled it out with heightened intensity. With only two weeks left in the season, the stakes are sky high and every goal counts.
The Derby Ducklings put up a brave fight, but it was the One Hit Wonders who emerged victorious from the clash with a scoreline of 12-7. Despite the result, Mandy Smith, a player from Derby Ducklings, proved her mettle on the court by securing the title of the most valued player of the week.
Elsewhere, the Goaldiggers faced defeat against the Chatsworth Chicks, who dominated the game with a 13-2 win. Meanwhile, the Derwent Dames and Pass Perfect ended their face-off in a tantalizing draw, both teams scoring 7 points each.
The Derby Dreamers and Divas In Derby gave us a thrilling spectacle. The Dreamers managed to edge out the Divas in a close contest with a score of 17-13, keeping hopes alive for a spot in the final.
The division has seen some outstanding play and fierce competition, with all eyes on the top scorers of each division.
With only two weeks left, the pressure is on for the teams to solidify their standings.
