This week in the Derby Sunday social netball Derwent Dames narrowly edged out Pass Perfect in a nail-biting match that ended 4-3. The Dames, demonstrating their trademark robust defense and free-flowing attacking play, managed to hold off a spirited comeback from Pass Perfect to eke out a victory.
Not to be outdone, the Bakewell Babes brought their A-game against the Chatsworth Chicks, winning an action-packed encounter 10-7. The Babes showcased their offensive prowess, powered by the exceptional performance of the week's most valued player, Lydia Plaza. Plaza's spectacular attacking play and defensive masterclass were the highlights of the match, helping her team clinch a crucial victory.
The Derby Ducklings and One Hit Wonders also delivered a thrilling spectacle, with the Ducklings emerging victorious with a 7-5 scoreline. The Ducklings' strategic play and faultless teamwork proved too much for the Wonders, who put up a valiant fight but ultimately fell short.
In a shocking twist, the Derby Dreamers were narrowly defeated by Divas in Derby, with the final scorecard reading 7-8. The hard-fought match saw both sides trading quality shots and exhibiting top-level netball, with the Divas just managing to edge past the Dreamers in the closing moments.
