In a thrilling week 9 of Droylsden Thursday's League Netball tournament, spectators were treated to a spectacle of high-intensity and skillful play. Four matches highlighted the night, each demonstrating the endurance and spirit of the players.
Ctrl Alt Defeat faced off against Pivot Grigio in a fast-paced and energetic game. A valiant effort was given by Ctrl Alt Defeat but Pivot Grigio won the match with a scoreline of 9-20. Elyse Lord, from Ctrl Alt Defeat, was crowned the most valuable player of the week. Lord's agile footwork and precise passing stood out, contributing significantly to her team's fantastic performance.
Next up was Kiss My Pass, who delivered an impressive performance against Zero Chill, with an overwhelming 12-2 victory. Their defensive strategies paid off.
Meanwhile, Headliners won 15-9 to Get Net Or Die Tryin. Headliners showed their offensive prowess, pushing through the opponent's defenses consistently throughout the match.
Finally, Lionesses and Thunderstruck went head-to-head in a nerve-wracking game. Thunderstruck managed to clinch victory with a 8-3 win, demonstrating their superiority on the court.
As the season continues, the competition is heating up, promising more exciting games in the forthcoming weeks. The top scorers in each division have their eyes set on the championship. The athletes' passion for the sport is clearly evident, making the League games a must-watch for all netball enthusiasts.
