Week 10 of the Droylsden Thursday Netball League brought another evening of lively and closely contested matches, with teams continuing to build momentum and refine their play as the season progresses.
Kiss My Pass delivered a composed performance to come away with a 10–6 win over Thunderstruck. The match reflected their growing confidence as a unit, with steady attacking play and good coordination helping them maintain an advantage throughout.
Headliners edged a very tight contest against Ctrl Alt Defeat, securing a narrow 10–9 victory. Both sides traded goals consistently, and the result could easily have gone either way. It was a strong display of teamwork and game awareness from both teams in one of the evening’s most evenly matched fixtures.
Pivot Grigio recorded a 17–3 win over Zero Chill in the highest-scoring and most clear-cut result of the night. They moved the ball effectively and took their chances well, while Zero Chill continued to show effort and resilience. Lucy Donoghue was recognised as the week’s Most Valued Player, standing out for her movement and accuracy, and providing a positive highlight for her side.
The match between Get Net or Die Tryin' and Lionesses ended in a 9–9 draw, with both teams demonstrating patience and discipline. Neither side was able to pull away, resulting in a fair outcome that reflected how evenly balanced the game was.
As the league heads into week 11, teams will be looking to build on these performances, with plenty more competitive and exciting netball still to come.
