In the heart of Tamworth, at Landau Forte Academy QEMS, a delightful evening of social netball unfolded last Sunday. It marked the ninth week of the season, where an inviting atmosphere and a diverse mix of players, from rookies to seasoned, gathered for an excellent evening of the sport we all adore. It was a testament to the spirit of the game, where competition and camaraderie go hand in hand, that everyone left with faces glowing from more than just physical exertion.
The first match saw Tamagotchis play Slamworth, resulting in a score of 10 - 28. Both teams demonstrated exceptional teamwork and unwavering commitment. The air was filled with positivity as players encouraged each other, their sportsmanship shining as brightly as the floodlights above the court. It was indeed a game enjoyed by all, played in the best spirit of social netball.
The second game was between Shoot For It and Sunday Thunder, with the final score being 3 - 25. The game was an exhibition of solidarity and energy as players moved around the court with vigour, each pass and shot reflecting their shared dedication to the sport. It was fantastic to see such an enjoyable game filled with laughter and applause.
The third match saw Nets Get Physical face No Hope United, and it ended with a scoreline of 13 - 3. Despite the score, the game was played in a great spirit, each player contributing actively and passionately. The positive energy that radiated from the court was infectious, proving once again that the essence of social netball goes beyond the score.
A special mention must be made of Kay Banks from Nets Get Physical, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court were a sight to behold. Her positive attitude and contribution were appreciated not only by her teammates but also her opponents, epitomising the spirit of social netball.
As we look forward to Week 10, we anticipate another evening filled with friendly social netball. Let's keep moving, meeting new people, and honing our netball skills in a supportive environment. So, whether you're a pro at shooting hoops or you've just learned how to pass, come along for another fun-filled, spirited evening of back to netball.
