Play in the Tamworth Monday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

What a delightful evening of social netball it was at Landau Forte Academy Amington. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable as the 7th week of the season saw players of all experience levels, from beginners to more seasoned netballers, coming together for an evening of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and, of course, netball.

The first game saw Hippie Chicks and The Warriors share the court. With a final score tally of 21 to The Warriors and 9 to the Hippie Chicks, both teams demonstrated excellent teamwork, commitment, and gusto. The positive energy was infectious, making it an enjoyable game played in the best of spirits.

Next on the court were Nets Go Girls and Smokin Aces. The scoreboard read 22 for Smokin Aces and 14 for Nets Go Girls at the final whistle. Yet, the score hardly mattered as both teams showcased their passion for the game, with everyone leaving the court smiling and laughing.

Hoops and The Big B's made up the third match. Hoops finished the game scoring 18 points while The Big B's tallied 14. The commitment and enthusiasm displayed by both teams were amazing to witness, adding to the fun, community-focused atmosphere of the evening.

Rowdy Rockets and Ball Saints took over the court next, ending with Ball Saints securing 21 points and Rowdy Rockets scoring 6. Despite the score difference, both teams played with great determination and sportsmanship, making it another enjoyable match of the night.

The last game of the night saw Disco Divas and Warrior Queens giving their best. The end score was 17 in favour of Disco Divas and 10 for Warrior Queens. Both teams played with positivity and showed true sportsmanship, rounding off an enjoyable evening in great spirit.

A special mention goes to Ashlee Milliard from the Ball Saints, who was recognised as the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her brilliant movement around the court was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike. Ashlee’s contribution to the game embodies what our social netball nights are all about — enjoyment, camaraderie, and a love of the game.

As we look ahead to Week 8, we anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. We cannot wait for our members to come back, keep active, meet new people, and continue honing their netball skills in our supportive environment.
