Play in the Birmingham Wednesday You Play Netball Social League

The brand new season of social netball opened with an exhilarating evening at King Edwards VI Northfield School for Girls, with a friendly, inviting atmosphere radiating from the court. Week 1 saw a delightful mix of players, ranging from newbies to seasoned veterans, all sharing the thrill of the game. Their love for netball, coupled with a shared sense of camaraderie, turned the evening into a celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork.

Pocket Rockets and Goal Diggers welcomed the evening's play with a spirited match. The final score read 31-5, in favour of Goal Diggers. Despite the score difference, both teams showcased a commendable commitment to the game. The air was filled with encouraging cheers and laughter, adding to the enjoyable experience.

Following this, Rednal Roses squared off against Chafing Dreams. The game ended with a close score of 8-7, with Chafing Dreams finishing the evening with just one goal ahead. Both teams exhibited amazing teamwork and sportsmanship, exemplifying the essence of social netball.

Game Of Throws and Incredi-balls took to the court for a thrilling face-off, ending at 17-3. Spice Goals and Ballin Baddies wrapped up the evening's games with a score of 23-13. All teams exuded energy and enthusiasm, making every game a spectacle of fun and sporting spirit.

A special mention goes to the most valued player of the week – Sophie Gibson from Pocket Rockets. Sophie's unwavering energy, strategic court movement, and positive attitude were noted and appreciated by all. Her contribution to the game indeed made the evening extra special.
