Play in the Birmingham Wednesday You Play Netball Social League

Greetings to all netball enthusiasts! The 14th week of social netball at King Edwards VI Northfield School for Girls saw another delightful evening filled with camaraderie, fun, and lots of netball! It was a welcoming atmosphere with players from all walks of life, experience levels, and backgrounds, coming together to enjoy a night of their favourite sport.

The first game saw the Pocket Rockets face off against the Ballin Baddies. The match ended with a score of Pocket Rockets 14, Ballin Baddies 16. Both teams displayed an inspirational level of teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive energy, making it a truly enjoyable game played in the best spirit of social netball.

The next exciting match-up was between the Game Of Throws and the Rednal Roses. With the Game of Throws finishing with 16 and the Rednal Roses ending with 13, the match was a delightful display of commitment and enthusiasm from both teams, lighting up the court with their joyful play.

The final games of the evening saw Incredi-balls and Spice Goals, as well as Goal Diggers and Chafing Dreams, sharing the court. The games ended with scores of Incredi-balls 6 - Spice Goals 20, and Goal Diggers 4 - Chafing Dreams 3, each of them a celebration of friendship, teamwork, and the love for netball.

This week, a special shout-out goes out to our Most Valued Player – Ilze R from Pocket Rockets! Ilze's enthusiasm was contagious, her movements around the court were nothing short of poetry in motion, and her positive contributions were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

A huge congratulations to Spice Goals, our Premier League winners, and Goal Diggers, our runners-up. Both teams have had a brilliant season, and we’re so pleased to celebrate their achievements.

A special shout-out to Carla from Chafing Dreams, our Player of the Season! Well done, Carla!

Thank you to all our teams and players for making this such a friendly, welcoming league. It’s been lovely seeing everyone enjoy their netball, make new friends, and support each other throughout the season.

We hope you’ve all had a fantastic time, and we can’t wait to see you back on court next week for next season!
