As the sun set on Week 10 of the season, King Edwards VI Northfield School for Girls played host to yet another warm and welcoming evening of social netball. Players, ranging from novices to seasoned hands, turned up in high spirits, ready to immerse themselves in the exhilarating games that lay ahead. The atmosphere was charged with laughter and friendly competition, making it an enjoyable night for all.
The first match of the evening saw Incredi-balls sharing the court with Chafing Dreams. Both teams displayed a fantastic level of commitment, resulting in an engaging game that ended with Chafing Dreams scoring five goals to Incredi-balls’ three. The positive energy and sportsmanship demonstrated by both sides truly embodied the spirit of social netball.
Next, Goal Diggers faced off against Ballin Baddies. Their game ended with Goal Diggers notching up 21 goals to Ballin Baddies' nine. Although the scoreline may suggest a one-sided game, this was far from the case. Both teams showed equal amounts of determination and teamwork, creating an exciting game for all.
Game Of Throws and Spice Goals took to the court next. Despite the high scoreline of 20-12 in favour of Spice Goals, both teams played with infectious enthusiasm and camaraderie, making it a memorable match.
Lastly, Pocket Rockets and Rednal Roses treated spectators to an exciting contest. Pocket Rockets finished the game with a tally of 19 goals to Rednal Roses' 12. Both teams demonstrated excellent teamwork and sportsmanship throughout their match, making it a thrilling watch.
A special mention goes out to Faye Taylor from Game Of Throws, recognized as the Most Valued Player of the week. Faye's movement around the court, coupled with her positive energy and contribution to the game, was appreciated greatly by both her teammates and opponents alike.
