Birmingham Wednesday Netball Update - Week 1

A Brilliant Start to the Season in the Birmingham Wednesday League – Powered by Leisure Leagues

The Birmingham Wednesday 7-a-side Netball League got off to a fantastic start last night, with four enjoyable matches that brought plenty of energy, teamwork and great moments on court.

Spice Goals and Ballin Baddies opened the season with an entertaining game, finishing 26–15. Both teams showed great movement and communication, setting a positive tone for the weeks ahead.

Rednal Roses and Chafing Dreams shared a closely contested match, with Rednal Roses taking an 11–7 result. It was a well-balanced game with strong defensive efforts and some lovely passages of play from both sides.

Pocket Rockets also had a strong first outing, earning a 28–7 win against Goal Diggers. Their teamwork and confidence shone through, but credit to Goal Diggers for their determination and effort throughout.

In the final game of the evening, Incredi-balls and Nothing But Net faced off, with Incredi-balls finishing 20–2 ahead. It was great to see both teams supporting one another and enjoying their first run out of the new season.

A special mention goes to Kat Cooke from Ballin Baddies, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Kat delivered an outstanding individual performance, showing fantastic energy and commitment from start to finish.

It’s wonderful to see the new season underway with such a positive and friendly atmosphere. We’re looking forward to watching all the teams grow in confidence, support one another and enjoy their Wednesday night netball in the weeks ahead.
