An absolutely delightful evening of social netball took place at Kineton High School for Week 8 of the season. The welcoming atmosphere was electrifying, with players of all experience levels participating, as the school's netball court transformed into a sporting sanctuary, echoing laughter, cheers and the gentle thud of bouncing balls.
In the Premier League group, the first match saw the Hoop Hustlers play the Netball Ninjas. The game ended with a score of Netball Ninjas 15, Hoop Hustlers 10. The game was filled with continuous displays of teamwork and commitment. Even though the scores were close, the spirit of the game was always high, with every player showing great sportsmanship and an impressive amount of positive energy.
The following game had Kineton Angels playing off against Kineton Stars. Kineton Angels concluded with a score of 15, Kineton Stars with 4. The game was played with a great spirit, every pass, every attempt at goal, every interception was met with cheers and applause, emphasizing the enjoyable atmosphere of the match.
Last but not least, the Kineton Ladies faced the Kineton Shooters, finishing with a 12-9 score. The game was an exhibition of the fun that lies at the heart of social netball. Despite the close score, the teams exhibited remarkable sportsmanship and positive energy, reminding everyone that the true spirit of the game lies in enjoying it.
This week, a special mention goes to Penny Phelps from Kineton Angels. Her movement around the court, infectious enthusiasm, and positive contributions were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike. She truly embodied what social netball is all about.
Looking ahead, Week 9 promises another evening of friendly social netball.
