Play in the Kidsgrove Sunday you play netball league!
The latest week of the Kidsgrove Sunday League Netball brought plenty of great teamwork, exciting moments, and fantastic performances across the court. Week eight of the season saw teams continuing to grow in confidence, with some impressive scores and plenty of encouraging play on display.
In the League division, Born To Play enjoyed a strong game against On The Attack!, coming away with a 15-7 win. Both teams showed great effort throughout, with Born To Play finding a good rhythm early on and keeping up their momentum until the final whistle.
Catch You Later also had a standout performance this week, securing a 20-2 victory over Hot Shots. Their sharp shooting and organised defence helped them work well together as a team, while Hot Shots kept battling and showed plenty of determination throughout the match.
Another entertaining fixture saw Girls Just Want To Have Fun take on No Turning Back in a closely contested game. With both sides creating chances and the scoreline staying competitive, No Turning Back eventually edged ahead to claim a 15-10 win after an exciting contest.
A special mention goes to Sophie Parker from Girls Just Want To Have Fun, who was named Most Valued Player this week. Sophie impressed with her movement, energy, and accurate shooting, putting in a brilliant all-round performance and making a big impact for her team.
With another enjoyable week of netball completed, teams will now look ahead to the next round of matches. The league continues to showcase great sportsmanship, teamwork, and plenty of enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to see what next week brings.
