In a lively fifth week of action at the Kidsgrove Sunday Netball League, the League division delivered a series of well-contested matches that highlighted developing team structures, improving consistency, and individual performances that continue to shape the season.

The meeting between No Turning Back and Born To Play saw Born To Play take control early and maintain a steady advantage throughout, eventually securing a 22–12 win. While the scoreline suggests a comfortable victory, No Turning Back showed clear signs of progression, particularly in their defensive organisation and transitional play through mid-court. Their efforts were reflected in Dawn Farmer being named Most Valued Player of the week, recognising her consistent impact, work rate, and composure under pressure despite the result.

Net Set Go’s 17–14 win over Hot Shots proved to be one of the more evenly balanced fixtures of the round. Both sides demonstrated structured attacking phases and disciplined marking, with momentum shifting multiple times across the match. Net Set Go’s ability to convert key chances in the latter stages ultimately made the difference, though Hot Shots remained competitive throughout and showed encouraging cohesion as a unit.

Girls Just Want To Have Fun recorded a 10–5 victory over Catch You Later in a game defined more by control than intensity. Their patient build-up play and organised defensive shape limited scoring opportunities for their opponents, allowing them to manage the game effectively. Catch You Later, meanwhile, struggled to find rhythm in attack but continued to show determination and effort across all quarters.

As the league moves into week six, performances across the division suggest a shift away from one-sided contests toward more structured and closely managed games. Teams are beginning to settle into consistent line-ups, refine their tactical approaches, and rely on key players to influence outcomes in crucial moments.
