Kidsgrove Sunday Week 3 - 12/4/26

Week three of the Kidsgrove Sunday Netball League brought another enjoyable morning of netball, with teams coming together to showcase their growing confidence, teamwork, and love for the game. Each match was played in great spirit!

One of the closest and most exciting games of the week saw Hot Shots take on Born To Play. Both teams worked incredibly hard throughout, with some lovely passages of play and determined defending on both sides. The match stayed close right to the final whistle, with Born To Play just edging ahead 13–12. It was a fantastic effort from both teams, and a great example of how evenly matched the league is becoming.

No Turning Back and On The Attack! also shared the court in a game that highlighted strong defensive organisation and teamwork. No Turning Back found a great rhythm together, combining sharp shooting with consistent defensive pressure to take a 14–0 win. Despite the scoreline, On The Attack! kept their heads up and continued to support one another throughout, showing great resilience and team spirit.

Another enjoyable fixture featured Net Set Go against Catch You Later. Catch You Later settled well into the game and produced some confident attacking play, finishing with a 14–3 scoreline. Net Set Go showed plenty of determination and kept working hard from start to finish, with lots of positives to take forward into the coming weeks.

A special mention this week goes to Emily Davies from Girls Just Want To Have Fun, whose movement, energy, and awareness on court really stood out. Her performance was a great example of teamwork and positivity, earning her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Week.

Across the league, No Turning Back were the highest-scoring team this week, reflecting a strong all-round performance.

It’s been wonderful to see teams developing and building confidence, and there’s plenty more to look forward to as the season progresses.
