The new season starts next week, January 18th! The fixture's time for just next week is at 5 until 6:30pm as there is an event on at Kidsgrove Sports Centre at our usual time.
After an exhilarating ten-week season, the Kidsgrove Sunday Netball league came to a riveting conclusion last night. The final week of the season saw Born To Play clinch the Premier League title with an impressive total of 20 points and a record of 10 wins, signifying their prowess on the court.
The Premier League showcased some intense matches, peppered with skillful plays and goal-scoring brilliance. Catch You Later's performance was commendable, overcoming On The Attack! with a 14-5 win. However, the highlight of the week was the showdown between Hot Shots and No Turning Back, which culminated in an 18-3 triumph for No Turning Back. The victory underscored the team's formidable strategy and execution throughout the season.
Yet, amid the team brilliance, a star shone brighter. Sarah Bailey of On The Attack! was crowned the week's most valued player. Despite her team's defeat against Catch You Later, Bailey's performance was indisputably exceptional. Her deft maneuvering, sharp shooting, and defensive prowess provided much-needed vitality to On The Attack! and proved instrumental in their efforts throughout the season.
The Kidsgrove Sunday Netball League's thrilling season has highlighted the region's rich talent pool, with each team showing tenacity, resilience, and sportsmanship. As we bid farewell to this season, we look forward to the next, promising more exciting matches, impressive individual performances, and, above all, a celebration of the spirit of netball.
