Kidderminster Sunday Social Netball - week 2

Week 2 of the Kidderminster Sunday social netball league took place at Kidderminster KDYT, with two fixtures played across the evening. Teams were back on court for another round of games, giving players the chance to get active, develop their netball skills and enjoy another evening playing with their teammates.

The first fixture saw Take The Shot take on In The Zone. Take The Shot finished the game with 23 goals, while In The Zone scored 2. Take The Shot had a strong attacking performance, creating plenty of opportunities and converting well in front of goal. In The Zone continued to work hard throughout the game, showing commitment across the court and continuing to compete until the final whistle.

The second game of the evening was between Seven Sisters and Throwbusters. Seven Sisters finished with 19 goals, while Throwbusters scored 10. Seven Sisters put together a good performance, with their attacking play creating a number of scoring opportunities. Throwbusters also had a good game and continued to challenge throughout, with both teams showing plenty of effort and teamwork.

Both fixtures gave players the opportunity to work on different areas of their game, from passing and movement to defending and shooting. It was another chance for teams to build on their previous fixtures and settle into the season.

Our Most Valued Player of the Week was recognised for her enthusiasm, movement around the court and positive contribution to her team. She showed a great attitude throughout the game and was involved in the action from start to finish. Her effort and approach were appreciated by those around her. Well done on a well-deserved award!

Week 2 was another good evening of social netball at Kidderminster KDYT. The league is designed to give women the opportunity to play regularly, stay active and enjoy netball in a friendly and welcoming setting. For players returning to the sport after a break, it is also a great way to rebuild confidence and get back into playing regularly.

As a Back to Netball league, the emphasis is on enjoying the game and making sure everyone feels comfortable on court. Players come with different levels of experience, and that is what makes social netball so enjoyable. Teams are encouraged to support their own players, respect their opponents and play every fixture in the right spirit.

It was great to see everyone getting involved in Week 2 and making the most of their games. Whether it is a well-timed pass, a good defensive interception, a successful shot or simply encouraging a teammate, every contribution helps make the league a positive place to play.
