Play in the Kidderminster Sunday You Play netball league
The new season of the Kidderminster Sunday netball league got off to a fantastic start this week, with teams across the League delivering exciting performances, competitive matches, and a brilliant atmosphere to open the campaign. Players returned to the court full of enthusiasm and determination, and the opening fixtures provided a strong indication that this season is set to be another enjoyable and closely contested competition.
The first round of matches in the League showcased excellent teamwork, strong attacking play, and plenty of commitment from all teams involved. With everyone eager to begin the season positively, each game was played with great intensity and sportsmanship, giving spectators an entertaining evening of netball action.
One of the opening fixtures saw Throwbusters take on In The Zone in a competitive encounter that produced plenty of quality play from both sides. Throwbusters managed to secure a solid 9-5 victory after producing a well-organised performance across the court. Their movement in attack and disciplined defensive work helped them maintain control during important stages of the game and ultimately secure the win.
Despite the result, In The Zone produced many positive moments throughout the match and showed excellent determination from start to finish. A standout performer for the side was Lauren Common, whose impressive display earned her the title of the week’s Most Valued Player. Lauren demonstrated fantastic energy, composure, and skill throughout the game, consistently making an impact with her movement and teamwork. Her positive attitude and excellent individual performance were recognised as one of the highlights of the evening, and she will certainly be a player to watch as the season develops.
Another exciting fixture saw Seven Sisters take on Nets Go Girl in an entertaining game filled with attacking netball and fast-paced play. Seven Sisters produced a confident display to secure a 14-7 victory, showing strong teamwork and composure throughout the match. Their ability to move the ball effectively through the court and convert scoring opportunities helped them maintain momentum and build a comfortable lead.
Nets Go Girl continued to compete positively throughout the game and showed plenty of promise despite the result. With the season only just beginning, there were many encouraging signs from both teams, who demonstrated great effort and enthusiasm throughout the contest.
The opening week of the Kidderminster Sunday netball league has already set the stage for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season. Teams have made strong starts, individual players have already begun to shine, and the League once again provided a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
