What a joyous evening it was at John Ferneley College for Week 1 of the social netball season! The atmosphere was brimming with friendliness and excitement as players, both new and seasoned, laced up their trainers for a fantastic night of netball. Just the right blend of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun were in the air as the season officially got underway.

In the first match, Total Meltdown and Pie-Fect Pass shared a spirited game. Total Meltdown finished with a score of 7-4, with both teams showing tremendous commitment and oozing positive energy on the court.

Next up, In Formation and Melton Mavericks demonstrated amazing teamwork. The final score of 22-4 in favour of In Formation reflected a game well played and thoroughly enjoyed by both teams.

Moving on, Rule Breakers and Give Us A Shot brought a delightful mix of competitiveness and sportsmanship to the court. Give Us A Shot ended the match on a high note with a score of 11-4.

The Mowbos and The Fun Bunch had us all cheering with their infectious enthusiasm. The Fun Bunch closed the game at 15-7, demonstrating exemplary team spirit throughout.

Finally, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Never Give Up personified the spirit of the evening, closing out the night with a 15-4 end score, and smiles all around.

A special mention must go to Chloe McGrath from Rule Breakers, who was named as the Most Valued Player of the week. Her infectious enthusiasm, quick movement around the court, and positive contribution were well noted and appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

As we anticipate another evening of friendly social netball next week, we welcome all players back for Week 2.
