Melton Mowbray Tuesday Netball Update 7th April

Week 2 of the Melton Mowbray Tuesday Netball brought another evening of enjoyable and competitive matches, with teams continuing to find their rhythm early in the season.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun delivered a confident performance against the Melton Marvels, coming away with a 13–2 win. Their teamwork and organisation helped them maintain control, while our new team (the Marvels) continued to show effort and determination throughout and great promise for the coming weeks.

In Formation secured a 15–7 victory over Rule Breakers in a well-contested match. Their movement and shooting accuracy made the difference, although Rule Breakers remained committed and worked hard across the court.

Give Us A Shot and The Fun Bunch played out a closely fought 4–4 draw, with both teams evenly matched. It was a competitive game that highlighted good sportsmanship and teamwork from both sides.

Total Meltdown recorded an 11–1 win against The Mowbos, showing consistency in both attack and defence. The Mowbos continued to push for opportunities despite the challenging scoreline.

This week’s most valued player was Lorna Healey from The Fun Bunch, recognised for her strong contribution and consistent performance during her match.

With the season still in its early stages, teams will be looking to build on these performances in the coming weeks. The league continues to offer a friendly and competitive environment for all involved.
