A heart-stopping season opener took place last night in the Melton Mowbray Tuesday 7-a-side Netball league, as Division 1 teams battled fiercely to establish early dominance. This season promises to be more thrilling and competitive than ever before.

In a night filled with tension and high drama, four matches ended with close margins, keeping spectators on the edges of their seats. The match between Total Meltdown and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ended in a nail-biting 5-5 draw, demonstrating the evenly matched skill levels in this division. Likewise, the Pass And Go's edged out the Melton Marvels in a tightly fought contest, ending the match at 3-2.

The Mowbos took an impressive victory over Give Us A Shot with a score of 9-4, establishing themselves as a team to watch this season. However, the standout match of the evening was undoubtedly between The Fun Bunch and In Formation. In Formation secured a 22-5 win, setting the bar high for the rest of the season.

The Rule Breakers also started the season on a high note, securing a 7-2 victory over Never Give Up.
