Opening Night Match Report 

The new league kicked off this week with plenty of energy, smiles, and a great mix of new and returning players taking to the court.

Hula Hoops 19 – 4 Hopscotch
Hula Hoops (with a lot of help from Christine’s Crew, kindly subbing in) started strong, showing some sharp shooting and good teamwork to take the win. Hopscotch battled hard, with experienced players guiding newcomers and keeping the spirit high throughout. Meeta was named Player of the Match for Hopscotch, impressing with her determination and encouragement on court.

Skittles 8 – 19 Christines Crew
The second match saw Christines Crew take the points with a well-rounded performance, but Skittles played with fantastic enthusiasm and never gave up. Donna stood out for Skittles, earning Player of the Match with her tireless effort and great attitude.

It was a brilliant first night for the league – competitive but friendly, with lots of support and sportsmanship on show. The mix of experience and fresh faces promises an exciting season ahead. Everyone is already looking forward to next week’s games!
