Play in the Hinckley Sunday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

Last Sunday marked the kick-off of a new social netball season at Hinckley Leisure Centre. A warm, friendly atmosphere filled the venue as players of all experience levels came together for an enjoyable evening of netball. The gym buzzed with laughter, cheers, and the spirit of friendly competition.

Our first match of the season saw Netchicks Season 2 face Shoot Happens. The Netchicks finished the game with an impressive score of 21-3. Despite the scoreline, both teams displayed impressive teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship.

Pink Ladies! and Hit Me With Your Best Shot took to the court for the second match. Finishing the game with a score of 19-4, Pink Ladies! showcased their quick passing and sharp shooting skills. Hit Me With Your Best Shot, despite the score, remained high spirited and enthusiastic, always ready for the next pass.

Our third game of the evening, Flames against Shoot For It, ended with a score of 25-2 in favor of Flames. Both teams displayed a positive energy throughout the match, with Shoot For It consistently commending Flames for their excellent gameplay.

Warrior Queens and Nets Get Into The Groove delivered an exciting match, with Warrior Queens finishing with an 18-3 score. Despite the scoreline, Nets Get Into The Groove showed a great spirit, cheering on their teammates and applauding the efforts of the Warrior Queens.

Pitch Slaps and Phoenix Flyers battled it out in the fifth game, with Phoenix Flyers finishing the game with a score of 13-6. Both teams displayed fantastic sportsmanship, with high fives and cheers exchanged throughout the match.

Our final match had Burbage Ballers playing against Shooting Stars, with a close scoreline of 12-9 in favor of Burbage Ballers. Both teams played with great commitment, with the game going down to the wire.

A special mention for the Most Valued Player of the week, Adele Johnson from Nets Get Into The Groove. Adele's enthusiasm, infectious energy, and fantastic movement around the court were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

As we look ahead to Week 2, we're excited for another evening of friendly social netball. It's not about winning or losing, it's about keeping active, meeting new people, and further developing our netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment. Whether you've been playing for years or are just getting back into netball, we can't wait to see you there.
