What an absolute joy it was to spend an evening at Hinckley Leisure Centre this week, where we had the pleasure of witnessing the ninth week of an exciting season of friendly social netball. Teams from all walks of life, boasting of various skill levels, came together to create an atmosphere that was inviting, inclusive, and positively electric. Participants enjoyed a great night of netball, bonding over their shared love for the sport.

In the Division 1 group, Flames and Burbage Ballers matched their wits in a close and exciting encounter. The Flames finished the game with a score of 18-17, highlighting their teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship. The game was played in a warm spirit, reflecting the positive energy that both teams brought to the court, making it an enjoyable experience for all involved.

In another encounter, Netchicks Season 2 faced off against Warrior Queens. The match concluded with the Warrior Queens finishing with a score of 10-8. The camaraderie, energy, and the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by both teams was a sight to behold.

The Division 2 group saw another set of exciting matches. Nets Get Into The Groove and Hit Me With Your Best Shot ended their game with a score of 9-3. The positive energy and great spirit in which the game was played made it an enjoyable experience for all.

This week we saw Harriet Snodin from Netchicks Season 2 earn herself the title of Most Valued Player. Harriet displayed an infectious enthusiasm, dashing around the court and contributing positively to her team's performance. Both teammates and opponents appreciated Harriet's passion and contribution, and she was a delight to watch.

As we look ahead to Week 10, we can't help but bubble with anticipation for another evening of friendly social netball. It isn't just about keeping fit or playing the game; it's about meeting new people, developing our netball skills in a supportive environment, and most importantly, having fun.
