The Hinckley Leisure Centre was brimming with excitement and camaraderie as Week 6 of the social netball season unfolded. A welcoming atmosphere enveloped the evening, with players of all skill levels coming together for a night of fair play and friendly competition. The spirit of the game was alive and well, with each match showcasing the fun and supportive nature of social netball.

In the Division 1 group, Burbage Ballers and Warrior Queens took to the court in what proved to be a closely contested game, with the final score reading a nail-biting Warrior Queens 13, Burbage Ballers 11. Both teams demonstrated stellar teamwork and a commitment to the game that was positively infectious. The Flames and Shooting Stars also had a spirited match, with the Shooting Stars ultimately finishing the game with a score of 19-14. The game between Netchicks Season 2 and Phoenix Flyers was another great spectacle, with Phoenix Flyers edging out their rivals 16-15 in a match that demonstrated the joy of teamwork and camaraderie.

Division 2 was no less exciting. Hit Me With Your Best Shot and Shoot Happens had a fun game, with Shoot Happens ending on a high note with 5 against 2. Nets Get Into The Groove and Shoot For It demonstrated the spirit of sportsmanship in their match, with Nets Get Into The Groove finishing with a score of 9-3. The Pink Ladies and Pitch Slaps game was a demonstration of netball at its most enjoyable, with the Pink Ladies finishing with a score of 19-14.

A special mention must be made of Katie Ford from Shoot Happens, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm and excellent movement around the court did not go unnoticed, and her positive contribution was greatly appreciated by both teammates and opponents alike.

As we look forward to Week 7, we continue to celebrate the essence of social netball: keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment.
