The sun had set on a delightful evening of social netball at Hinckley Leisure Centre, with Week 4 of the season radiating with warm camaraderie, sporting spirit, and an electric energy that united players of varied experience levels. From seasoned veterans to enthusiastic rookies, everyone partook in a night where the love for netball reigned supreme.

The first match saw Burbage Ballers and Flames pair up on the court, with an end score of Flames at 10 and Burbage Ballers just one shy at 9. The game was a beautiful depiction of teamwork, with every pass and goal reflecting a deep, shared commitment. Both groups were a beacon of sportsmanship, their positive energy amplified by an audience that thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Warrior Queens and Netchicks Season 2 were next, ending with an exciting score of Netchicks at 15 and Warrior Queens close behind at 13. The court was abuzz with cheers as both teams showcased their skills and camaraderie. The spirit of the game was celebrated as players from both sides displayed their dedication and love for netball.

In the Division 2 group, we saw a thrilling tie between Hit Me With Your Best Shot and Nets Get Into The Groove, each team wrapping up with 8 points apiece. It was a joyous game filled with laughter, teamwork and mutual respect that embodied the spirit of social netball.

A special mention goes to Helen Buckler of Burbage Ballers, who has been crowned as the Most Valued Player of the week. Helen’s enthusiasm was infectious, her trailblazing movement around the court signaling her passion and dedication. Her positive contribution to the game was appreciated by her teammates and opponents alike, making her an undeniable asset to the sport and the evening.

As we eagerly anticipate Week 5, we look forward to another evening of friendly social netball, a chance to keep active, meet new people, and further develop our netball skills in a supportive and uplifting environment.
