Week 2 Delivers Excitement in the Hinckley Sunday Netball League

The Hinckley Leisure Centre was buzzing with energy as Week 2 of the Hinckley Sunday Netball League, powered by You Play Netball, brought together players of all abilities for another fantastic evening of social netball.

With laughter, teamwork, and plenty of competitive spirit on display, both new and returning players enjoyed an evening that showcased exactly what social netball is all about – staying active, meeting new people, and enjoying the game in a friendly and supportive environment.

Division 1 Results

Burbage Ballers continued their strong start to the season with a hard-fought 20-15 victory over Netchicks Season 2. Both teams demonstrated excellent teamwork and determination throughout an entertaining contest.

Phoenix Flyers produced an impressive performance against Flames, securing a 19-8 win. The match was played with great intensity, while maintaining the outstanding sportsmanship that defines the league.

The closest game of the evening saw Shooting Stars edge out Warrior Queens by just a single goal. In a thrilling encounter, Shooting Stars claimed a narrow 15-14 victory after both teams battled relentlessly from start to finish.

Division 2 Results

Pink Ladies! delivered a strong team performance to overcome Hit Me With Your Best Shot 13-5. Both teams embodied the values of social netball, showing great encouragement and positivity throughout the game.

Pitch Slaps also enjoyed success in Division 2, defeating Nets Get Into The Groove 13-4 in a match that highlighted excellent teamwork and enthusiasm from both sides.

Most Valued Player

Congratulations to Kimberley Twigg of Phoenix Flyers, who was named Week 2's Most Valued Player.

Kimberley's outstanding movement around the court, infectious enthusiasm, and positive attitude made a significant impact during the evening. Her performance was recognised and appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, perfectly reflecting the spirit of the league.
