The long-awaited Havant Sunday Netball League kicked off its first week with a series of exhilarating matches that had spectators on the edge of their seats. The League, which showcased some of the sport’s most skilled athletes, did not disappoint.
One of the most notable games was between Havant Played For Ages and Netbrawllers, with a razor-thin score of 12-13. Both teams demonstrated fantastic team play, but it was Havant Played For Ages who secured a nail-biting victory that set the tone for the exciting season ahead.
Hot Fuzz, however, made a resounding statement in their opening match, outclassing Pocket Rockets with a 30-2 victory. Their sheer dominance on the court signals a promising season ahead for the team.
The league's opening week concluded with another thrilling match between Thunder Cats and Super Troopers. Super Troopers narrowly clinched victory with a score of 11-10 in a game that will be remembered for the intense competition and sporting spirit on display.
In individual accolades, Havant Played For Ages' Jo Legg stood out, earning the title of Most Valued Player of the Week. Legg's exceptional play, technical skills, and leadership on the court were instrumental in steering Havant Played For Ages to their thrilling victory.
