Week 3 of the Cwmbran Tuesday Netball League brought another brilliant evening of netball, with a great mix of close games, teamwork, and positive energy across the League division. It was fantastic to see all teams supporting each other and playing in good spirit.
In our first match of the night, Hoops I Did It Again came away with a 10–5 win over Worth A Shot. It was a match where both teams worked hard defensively, making scoring chances harder to come by. Hoops I Did It Again were able to settle into their rhythm as the game went on, while Worth A Shot continued to push and showed great effort throughout.
Pocket Rockets and 7 Stars delivered one of the closest matches of the night, with Pocket Rockets just taking the win 9–8. It was a really evenly matched game, with both sides showing patience in attack and working hard in defence. The score stayed tight throughout, and it could have gone either way right up until the final whistle. Both teams should be proud of the effort and determination they showed.
Net On With It put in a strong and organised performance to win 17–10 against Cwmbran Ravens. Their passing was sharp and they made good use of space in the attacking third, helping them build a steady lead. Cwmbran Ravens kept battling and had some great passages of play, showing good teamwork and commitment right to the end.
This week’s Most Valued Player went to Caroline Davies from Net It Be. Her performance stood out thanks to her consistency, movement, and positive influence on the court. She supported her teammates well and made a real difference during the game.
As we move closer to the midpoint of the season, it’s great to see teams growing in confidence and continuing to improve each week. Pocket Rockets and Net On With It have made a strong start, but every team is showing progress and contributing to a really enjoyable league atmosphere.
Looking ahead to week 4, we can expect more close matches, great teamwork, and plenty of encouragement from the sidelines as the league continues to build momentum.
