Week five of the Stoke-on-Trent Thursday netball brought another enjoyable evening of matches, with plenty of effort, teamwork, and positive energy on display under the lights.
In the first game of the night, Game Of Throws secured a 14–8 victory over Hotshots. Both teams competed well, with Game Of Throws finding their rhythm as the game progressed.
Stoke Storm just edged ahead in their game against Trent Tricksters, taking a narrow 6–5 win. It was a well-fought match from both sides, with Storm’s Ella McCully earning Most Valued Player for her excellent contribution and impact on the game.
Flames put in a strong performance against Netbrawlers, coming away with a 16–6 win. Their teamwork and consistency helped them build momentum, while Netbrawlers continued to show determination throughout.
The final game of the night saw Swans and Cherry Bombs play out a closely contested game, finishing in an 8–8 draw. Both teams matched each other throughout, making it an exciting and evenly balanced encounter.
Overall, it was another positive week, with teams continuing to show great commitment and sportsmanship. As the season progresses, there’s plenty to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
