Play in the Leicester Monday You Play Netball League

Week 5 of the Leicester Monday You Play Netball League took place under the floodlights, with teams coming together for another enjoyable evening of competitive netball. With the season now well underway, players are beginning to settle into their rhythm, and the matches reflected growing confidence, teamwork and consistency across the league.

Fast Break faced Pivot And Pass in a lively contest that saw both teams working hard from the opening whistle. Fast Break built momentum early through well-timed passes and effective movement around the court, eventually securing a 16–9 victory. Pivot And Pass showed resilience throughout the game, continuing to challenge in both attack and defence, and will take plenty of positives forward as the season progresses.

Court Queens also had a strong night on court, recording an 18–3 win against Spice Goals. Court Queens controlled much of the play with confident ball movement and organised defensive pressure, allowing them to create regular scoring opportunities. Spice Goals continued to battle throughout the match, gaining valuable match experience and showing determination right to the final whistle.

One of the standout moments of the evening came from Spice Goals’ Lily Harding, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Despite the scoreline, Harding delivered an impressive individual performance, displaying excellent movement, speed and shooting accuracy. Her commitment and energy were evident throughout the match, earning recognition from both players and spectators.

As Week 5 draws to a close, Fast Break and Court Queens currently lead the league following a series of consistent performances. However, with plenty of matches still to be played, the standings remain open and every team will be looking to build momentum in the weeks ahead.
