Play in the Leicester Monday Netball League

The Leicester Monday netball league got off to a great start last night, with teams delivering enjoyable performances that set a positive tone for the season ahead. The opening week featured strong showings from teams such as Court Queens, Ellesmere Elites, and Fast Break.

Court Queens recorded a well-earned 10–7 win over Spice Goals in a closely contested match. Both teams worked hard throughout, with Court Queens finding their rhythm in attack to secure the result.

Ellesmere Elites made a confident start to their campaign with a 21–4 victory against Nets Go Girls. Their teamwork and consistent attacking play helped them build a comfortable lead over the course of the game.

Fast Break were also in action in a competitive match against Pivot And Pass, coming away with a 12–9 win. Both sides showed great determination, making it one of the most evenly matched games of the evening.

A standout moment came from Fast Break’s Samantha Jennings, whose composed and energetic performance earned her player of the week recognition. Her movement and accuracy played a key role in her team’s success.

With the season now underway, the Leicester Monday netball league looks set to provide plenty of enjoyable matches, developing rivalries, and impressive teamwork. The opening week has given a promising glimpse of what’s to come, and teams will be looking forward to building on their early performances.
