Manchester Thursday Netball League - Week 1

The much-anticipated seven-a-side Manchester Thursday Netball League kicked off yesterday, setting in motion a pulsating season. The tournament began with high-octane matches in Division 1, complete with skilled maneuvers and nail-biting finishes.

In the opening clash, Wingin It took on the formidable Tricksters. Despite a spirited performance by Wingin It, they were narrowly defeated by the Tricksters 14-11, in what was a heart-stopping game. Tricksters' dynamic player, Rachel Wood, shined as the star of the night, her exceptional prowess earning her the ‘Most Valued Player of the Week’ title.

Another highlight of the evening was the clash between Interceptors and Go Netsetters. The Interceptors lived up to their reputation scoring 12 goals while keeping a clean sheet, an impressive way to kick-start their campaign.

In the final match of the Division 1 games, Lets Go locked horns with Court In The Act. In an electrifying match, Lets Go emerged victorious, outscoring Court In The Act by 12-5.

As we plunge deeper into the season, these initial results already suggest an intense and competitive league this year. The exhilarating performances promise an exciting season for netball enthusiasts.
