The opening week of the Droitwich Spa Monday Netball saw a positive start to the season, with teams taking to the court for their first matches. It was an enjoyable evening of netball, with all teams showing teamwork and effort as they settled into the new season.
Droitwich Devils began their campaign with a strong performance, securing a 26–11 win over Rogue Angels. Their consistent shooting and organised play helped them build an early lead, while Rogue Angels continued to compete throughout the match.
In another game, Never Too Late faced Droitwich Diamonds in a closely contested match, coming away with a 17–13 victory. Both teams played well, with Never Too Late making the most of their chances.
Despite the result, Droitwich Diamonds had a standout player in Katy Bastock, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Her performance and contribution on court were clear throughout the game.
As the season gets underway, teams will be looking to build on these early performances and continue to improve in the weeks ahead. With many matches still to play, this season is shaping up to be competitive and enjoyable for everyone involved.
