The new season of the Droitwich Spa Monday Netball got off to a fantastic start, with teams showing great enthusiasm, teamwork, and competitive spirit under the lights.

The evening opened with an entertaining contest between Rogue Angels and Droitwich Devils. Both teams played with plenty of energy and determination, with Droitwich Devils eventually securing a 14-10 victory in a closely fought match that kept spectators engaged throughout.

The second game of the night provided even more excitement as Monday Misfits took on Droitwich Diamonds in a thrilling encounter. Both sides produced some excellent netball, but Droitwich Diamonds just edged the result 15-14 in a closely contested finish.

There were strong performances across the night, but a special mention goes to Kerri Buckley of Monday Misfits, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Kerri impressed with her skill, effort, and all-round contribution, standing out in a very competitive opening round.

With the first matches now complete, the season is already shaping up to be an exciting one. Droitwich Devils and Droitwich Diamonds made strong starts, but with plenty of games still to come, every team will be looking forward to building momentum and enjoying more great evenings of netball in the weeks ahead.
