The curtain raiser for the new social netball season in Droitwich was an exuberant affair that welcomed players from all walks of life. Embracing the 'Back to Netball' ethos, Week 1 was an ebullient evening of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and friendly competition amid a warm atmosphere of inclusivity. Veterans and newcomers alike revelled in the exciting games, offering a fantastic start to the season.

The first match of the night was a fascinating encounter between Bottoms Up and Never Too Late. Showcasing great sportsmanship and camaraderie, both teams played with high spirits. Never Too Late edged out the game with a final score of 17-13. However, the true winners were all the players involved who displayed amazing energy and teamwork throughout the game.

The second match of the evening saw the Dollies and Elegant Devils take to the court. It was a wonderful game that highlighted the spirit of teamwork and commitment. With a final score of 26-11, the Dollies demonstrated their refined skills and positive energy on the court. Regardless of the score, both teams enjoyed an exhilarating game that epitomized the essence of a friendly match.

A special mention must be made of the Most Valued Player of the week, Georgia Tryner from Never Too Late. Georgia's enthusiasm and swift movement around the court were an absolute joy to watch. Her positive contributions were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, embodying the spirit of this friendly league.

Looking to Week 2, we eagerly anticipate another enjoyable evening of social netball. Our community club is not just about keeping active and developing netball skills, but also about meeting new people in a supportive environment.
