The new season of the Droitwich Tuesday Netball got off to a fantastic start, with teams serving up some closely contested matches.
Never Too Late and Bottoms Up opened the season with a brilliant game that kept everyone engaged from start to finish. Both teams showed great determination and teamwork, with Bottoms Up just edging the result 16–13 in a closely fought contest. Never Too Late can take plenty of positives from a strong performance that promises a lot for the weeks ahead.
Droitwich Devils and Dollie Mix also delivered an entertaining matchup. The Devils came away with a 16–12 win, but Dollie Mix put in a spirited display and kept the game competitive throughout, showing great resilience and effort.
A standout moment of the night came from Jade Bancroft of Bottoms Up, who was named Player. Her energy, awareness, and all-round performance made a real impact and helped set the tone for her team.
Overall, it was a brilliant opening week that highlighted the talent and enthusiasm across the night. With such a positive start, the season is shaping up to be both competitive and enjoyable, with plenty more great netball still to come.
