Droitwich Tuesday Netball League - Week 9

On a beautiful Tuesday evening, the Droitwich Leisure Centre was buzzing with high spirits, laughter and enthusiasm as Week 9 of the social netball season unfolded. The doors were open to players of all experience levels, creating a welcoming atmosphere that fostered both camaraderie and friendly competition. The night was filled with pure joy, as the sport was celebrated in its purest form, devoid of any intense rivalry or cut-throat competitiveness.

In the first match of the evening, Bottoms Up and Never Too Late displayed excellent teamwork and sportsmanship. The game concluded with a score of 13-13, reflecting the closely fought contest. The energy on the court was palpable, and both teams left the court with smiles on their faces, having enjoyed a thrilling match.

Next up, Dollie Mix and Droitwich Devils took to the court. The game was played in high spirits, with both teams demonstrating a spirited commitment to the game and each other. The match ended with a score of 14-14, proving once again that in social netball, the spirit of the game is far more important than the final score.

The evening's final match saw Saltway Shooters and Elegance put on display their passion for the sport. Elegance finished the game with 18 points to Saltway Shooters' 5, but the scoreline didn't dampen the spirits of the Shooters. Both teams demonstrated the true meaning of sportsmanship and positive energy.

A special mention goes to Laura Parker of the Droitwich Devils, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Laura's enthusiasm and constant movement around the court were awe-inspiring. Her contribution to the game was greatly appreciated by her teammates and opponents alike, and she truly embodied the spirit of social netball.
